Ferry Fiasco: SeaLink Sailings to return to Tryphena Wharf as usual

Latest development – the wharf is safe, SeaLink will no longer be diverting their sailings.

An announcement made earlier in the week found SeaLink diverting their sailings to Port Fitzroy and Whangaparapara wharves, stating that the wharf in Tryphena was undergoing repairs. This is no longer the case. Services will resume as normal.

Thursday 28th March Sailing will go into Port Fitzroy as planned, with groceries being brought down to the Aotea Contractors yard on Gray Road.

The up-to-date timetable can be found here.

Ferry sailings are bookable up until ANZAC weekend, with the winter timetable for May and June being released mid next week – the mishap this week has delayed this timetable release.

SeaLink had already announced to Aotea Advocate that they are running a special starting 15 April – 30 June, offering retail passengers 20% off for trips to Aotea, bookable from 1 April.
