Great Barrier Island is closing temporarily to all visitors and will be in lock-down from 11.59pm on Wednesday 25 March, in line with New Zealand's upgraded COVID-19 level 4 alert status.

The island will be in lock-down for at least four weeks. Visitors will no longer be able to travel to the island during this time.

Please consider postponing rather than cancelling your booking, as we are really looking forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful Motu when the time is right, to provide our usual hospitality. Stay Safe.
