Kaiaraara Hut - Department of Conservation

Information

Nestled in the extensive native bush of the Aotea Conservation Park, Kaiaraara Hut is one of the two huts available along the multi day Aotea Track.

Arriving by either the Forest Road (no vehicle access road) from either the Port Fitzroy or Whangaparapara direction, down from the summit of Hirakimata (Mt Hobson) on the Kaiaraara Track, or from the Bushes Beach Track.

Backcountry Hut Passes and Hut Tickets cannot be used at this hut.

Fires are not permitted at any time.
Dogs are not permitted on any DoC tracks or land.

Your hut booking is for any bunk bed, not for a specific bunk bed – select your bunk bed on arrival.

Bookings are essential.
