The New years Picnic has been an annual fixture on the Barrier for over 80 yrs . This alcohol free event is a fundraiser for Aotea family support group inc. Featuring live music , waterslide kids games , local craft and food stalls a charity auction and the drawing of the wonder raffle at 1pm . The Picnic is a great day to catch up with friends and visitors to the island . Relaxed , fun atmosphere, do mark it in your calendar.
