Aotea Advocate Signing Off

Kia ora e te whānau,

After a year of sharing stories, local news, and community voices, we’ve decided it’s time to wrap up the Aotea Advocate.

We had hoped to find someone to take it over and keep it going, but in the end, it just didn’t work out. With the Barrier Bulletin now under new ownership and a fresh community focus, we feel like the timing is right to step aside and support what’s already growing.

We’re so grateful to all of you who read, contributed, advertised, and encouraged us along the way. You helped build something special—thank you for being part of it.

Please show your support for Vanessa and the Barrier Bulletin as they continue the important mahi of keeping Aotea informed and connected. If you’ve got stories, events, or ads to share, send them her way!

All issues of Aotea Advocate will continue to be available online here for the next two weeks. If you’d like to save or download any issues, please do so now.

Arohanui,
Lucy Dixon & Bree Biederman
