DESCRIPTION:Truth and Conspiracies\, with the Prime Ministers Science Advisor Dame Juliet Gerrard \nDame Juliet is a part-time island resident who’s been the Prime Minister’s Science Advisor through the COVID pandemic and on topics including fisheries\, fluoridation and cannabis reform. \nShe’ll consider questions of truth and conspiracy in these contested uncertain times. \nJoin Juliet at the Currach Irish Pub at 5pm on the 4th September 2022 for this talk.  \nTickets cost $10 and you can register here now \n \nSmall Island Big Ideas is Aotea’s festival for the heart and mind. \nOur intention is to arouse curiosity and conversation that takes our world and communities forward. \nThis year’s theme is The Winter of our Discontent. \nIn a world gone viral and at the brink of war\, we’ll distill a unique island perspective on what these global disruptions might mean for the future of individuals and communities. \nWe will explore current realities of living with uncertainty through the topics of money\, psychology\, writing and science.  \nBring an open mind and be prepared to go home refreshed. \n‘The Winter of our Discontent’ Sunday fireside talks will be held at the Currach May to September\, hosting a variety of guest speakers.  \nCheck out the full programme here
