Single life to new relationships and friendships. Finding her creative community. Step/Mum life and much more.\nHow the more the challenge the more she adapted.\nHelen’s workshop paintings will also be on display during the exhibition.

DESCRIPTION:Aotea Ecology Vision is bringing Tairāwhiti Gisborne’s hunter and conservationist Hamiora Gibson to Aotea from 23 to 26 of May (this month!). \nKnown on social media as ‘Sam the Trap Man’\, Sam is a skilled bushman and educator whose works bring people together to help save the taonga of our environment. A hunter\, gather\, and conservationist\, Sam returned to his home in Tairāwhiti and established a hunter led conservation project that is bringing Whio back from the brink of local extinction. Join Sam on one of a series of walks on Aotea when he will share his bush knowledge\, including edible plants and foraging tips\, as well as the role many plants and animals play in our natural environment.

SUMMARY:Kawa Marae Youth Program
DESCRIPTION:Dates for the following 3 months  \n\nMay 12th – May 26th\nJune 9th – June 23rd\nJuly 7th   – July 21st\n\nYouth Club Details \nKawa Mara Taiohi Tū Māia Program will run fortnightly on Sundays from 10am – 3pm. This may however change\, due to weather in the winter months. A Panui will be put up on Barrier Chit Chat fortnightly (a week prior) to advise of activities\, any date changes\, location\, and any other information we need to provide. \nThe ages for this program are 10yrs to 18yrs old. Children under 10 are most welcome to attend provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.  \nAs we have limited transportation\, we ask\, if possible\, to please drop off and pick up\, your Taiohi/Tamariki at the location of their chosen activity.  \nKai will be provided\, (unless your child has severe food allergies). Your Taiohi/Tamariki must bring their own snacks and drink bottles. Join Sam on one of a series of walks on Aotea when he will share his bush knowledge\, including on edible plants and foraging tips\, as well as the role many plants and animals play in our natural environment. \nDescription: The final walk of Sam’s stay will be for all our eco warriors out there that are involved in or have a passion for the restoration and rehabilitation of Aotea’s environment. Sam will share his wide range of bush knowledge\, mahinga kai\, and also discuss his experiences with pest control efforts and some of the success he has seen over the years from these.
